REgistration & Policies for the SINGING RETREAT in Puerto Morelos, Mexico NOVEMBER 30 – December 7, 2024
EARLY BIRD RATE UNTIL JUNE 30, 2024 (includes workshop and shared accommodation):
*$1,420 CD: $700 deposit by June 1, to hold your spot, and full payment by June 30th, 2024.
RATE AFTER JUNE 30, 2024 (includes workshop and shared accommodation):
*$1,570: $700 deposit by June 1, to hold your spot, and full payment by September 15th, 2024
Registration includes:
• 7 nights shared accommodation (2 beds, private bathroom, small kitchen, private patio space), access to swimming pool, daily cleaning service,
• Workshop (minimum 3 hours/day except on extra-curricular tour day.)
NOTE: Once the villa’s rooms are filled, we accept people who are staying off-site to join us for the workshop. The cost for just the workshop is $700.
Although we will try to help you find an alternative place to stay, it will be your responsibility to take care of your accommodation arrangements.
BREAKDOWN of fees:
Workshop fee: For those staying on-site at the villa, $590 each. This includes admin costs. We will be in the studio for 2 – 5 hours per day, but there will also be lots of free time. For those staying off-site, the fee is $700.
Accommodation: *$830 per person ($120/night) for a shared room – 2 beds, private bathroom, small kitchen, private patio space and swimming pool in the courtyard. It’s a beautiful, clean, safe, quiet place only a block from the beach. If you want a room to yourself, it’s twice the cost.
* These rates apply to the first 9 rooms. After that, the rates will be according to alternative accommodation. We will do our best to help arrange this. Expect a similar room cost and the $700 workshop fee.

This will hold your spot, regardless of which payment option you choose. Priority is given to those staying on-site.
When you register please indicate if you have any medical or physical conditions that will affect your participation in the workshop or the room assignment. (Rooms are on 2 different floors and no elevators.) We will do our best to accommodate.
If you are booking alone, we’ll do our best to pair you with someone compatible.
Policies
REFUND POLICY:
If we cancel you get all your money back.
CANCELLATION before September 15th, 2024: full payment minus $125 admin fee.
CANCELLATION between September 15th and October 25th, 2024: 50% refund.
CANCELLATION after October 25th, 2024: Forfeit all money paid.
If you have to cancel, your registration could be transferred to a friend, pending our approval.
ADDITIONAL POLICIES & CONSIDERATIONS:
• You are responsible for any damage you cause at this retreat.
• Your room booking is for you and your roommate. No additional guests please.
• If you wish to have a single occupancy room, an additional $830 will be added to the registration fee.
• Please indicate if you have any medical or physical conditions that will affect your participation in the workshop or the room assignment. (Rooms are on 2 different floors, no elevators.) We will do our best to accommodate.
• If you are booking alone, we will do our best to pair you with someone compatible.
• If you request a specific room, please advise when you register and we will do our best to accommodate your request, if available.
• All people staying at the villa must participate at the workshop.
• The rates indicated above apply to the first 9 rooms. Additional accommodation is available nearby. Expect a similar cost to the villa's rate. We will do our best to help you arrange this, after the villa is full. You will be expected to pay the workshop fee of $700.
• It’s advisable to purchase travel insurance including health and trip cancellation.
Additional considerations
CANCUN AIRPORT TO OUR VILLA in PUERTO MORELOS
• Shuttle Service to and from Cancun Airport arranged by our host (approx. 24 km). Highly recommended as the taxi rates have increased significantly at the Cancun airport in recent years. (approximately $55/US for 3 or less passengers TO our villa and $40/ US for 3 or less passengers RETURN to Cancun airport. The number of people in each shuttle will, in part, depend on people arriving on the same flight. You will be required to give us your travel arrangements prior to leaving for the retreat.
The ADO bus is a cheaper possibility, but it drops you at the highway and from there you would have to find a taxi to bring you to our villa. It is too far to walk. You will be required to give us your travel arrangements prior to leaving for the retreat.
OPTIONAL but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ACTIVITIES
• Communal Sunday Brunch and Friday night dinner by the pool (approximately $30 US for each meals) prepared by a highly regarded local chef with options for those with dietary restrictions.
• Full day Cenote Tour in the Yucatan region (approximately $200 CAD). Includes fantastic tour guides; visit to an artisanal wood carving family owned workshop; guided tropical forest walk; visit to a dry cave and swimming in a second cave. Mid-afternoon we will stop in a village for an authentic Mayan meal (learn to make traditional tortillas).
Other possibilities include:
• Snorkelling the National Coral Reef Park in Puerto Morelos. We can recommend a safe and informative provider
• Bike rental, walking tour
• Early morning yoga
• After hours sing along around the pool
